Natalie Fabiola Garín Vega (31) es Peruana y licenciada en Psicología Clínica por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Actualmente está cursando una maestría sobre Gerencia Social en dicha Universidad.
Siempre quiso ser psicóloga y la enfermedad mental de un familiar le hizo interesarse específicamente por la salud mental. Enseguida evidenció la necesidad de potenciar la prevención y la atención sanitaria en esta área. Por este motivo su experiencia profesional se ha centrado en niños, adolescentes y mujeres que sufren violencia familiar de índole física, psicológica o sexual.
Con objeto de lograr un futuro libre de violencia, Natalie considera fundamental el trabajo de prevención en los colegios, enseñando a los niños a manejar sus emociones y a desarrollar su autoestima. Otro objetivo para el que Natalie se está preparando es en el desarrollo de proyectos sociales que puedan incidir en políticas públicas que mejoren la salud mental y prioricen la tolerancia cero frente a la violencia.
Natalie Fabiola Garín Vega (31) is Peruvian and has a degree in Clinical Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Social Management.
She always wanted to be a psychologist; the mental illness of a family member made her specifically interested in mental health. Soon it became apparent to her that there was a need to promote prevention and health care in this area. For this reason, her professional experience has focused on children, adolescents and women who suffer family violence of a physical, psychological or sexual nature.
In order to achieve a future free of violence, Natalie considers the work of prevention in schools to be essential, teaching children to manage their emotions and develop their self-esteem. Another objective for her is the development of social projects aimed at influencing public policies that improve mental health and prioritize zero tolerance to violence.
