Sindy Castillo Álvarez de Juárez (36) es Guatemalteca y licenciada en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales por la Universidad Rafael Landívar de Guatemala. Actualmente está cursando una maestría en Formulación, Evaluación y Gestión de Proyectos de Inversión en dicha universidad.

Gracias a su esfuerzo y al apoyo de su familia pudo acceder a la Universidad en la que actualmente es profesora de economía. Entre otras cosas, coordina proyectos de investigación dirigidos a ayudar a mujeres y niños, para concienciar a los estudiantes sobre la desigualdad de las mujeres en la sociedad actual.

En los planes de futuro de Sindy está el potenciar proyectos de investigación que permitan la inclusión de las mujeres en el mercado laboral y financiero del mundo rural, así como promover la formación sobre economía de género en la Universidad Rafael Landívar .

Sindy Castillo Álvarez de Juárez (36) is Guatemalan and holds a degree in Economy and Business Sciences from Universidad Rafael Landivar in Guatemala. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Development, Evaluation and Management of Investment Projects from the same university.

Thanks to her effort and the support of her family, she was able to have access to the university where she is currently a professor of Economics. Among other things, she coordinates research projects aimed at helping women and children to raise awareness among students about the inequality of women in today's society.

Sindy's plans for the future include promoting research projects that allow for the inclusion of women in the labor and financial markets of the rural world, as well as promoting training in gender economics at the Universidad Rafael Landivar
