In March 2017, the Thread of Life recognized that women are the warp of social fabric in every country. Esther Kisaakye (2005 grantee and current Supreme Court Justice in Uganda) and Laura Balbuena (2004 grantee and Director of the Gender Institute of Peru) inspired us with presentations on their work.
